mentor - Science fiction and romantic fantasy writer Catherine
Asaro thanks WRW for honoring her with the 2005 Nancy Richards-Akers
Award. The annual award, named after the romance writer and new author
mentor killed in 1999, recognizes the published author who contributes
the most to the development of unpublished writers. In addition to her
work with WRW, Asaro also serves as the president of the Science Fiction
and Fantasy Writers of America.
