Author - "Martha Stewart" (Scottish historical romance writer Laurin
Wittig, in blonde wig and pink poncho) makes "a good thing" out of house-arrest
technology. Behind her to the right, her new employer "Donald Trump" (Beth
Holcombe Fedorko, who writes as Elizabeth Holcombe) tries to persuade
the judges of American' Author, the Retreat's variation on American
Idol, to buy his books. Judges Randy Tracy (Tracy Farrell), Paula
Lucia (Lucia Macro) and Simon Kate (Kate Duffy) gleefully passed on titles
such as "Bet Me, You're Fired", "Pride and the Donald" and "Daring the
Donald." For once, panel moderators Ryan Denise (Denise McInerney, far
left) and Ryan Karen (Karen Smith, who also writes as Karen Lee, far right)
were struck speechless.
